The hotel is decorated after English model which is tantamount to a consistent style and a pleasant intimacy, without the posh self assurance one often finds at other hotels. We have struggled to make a hotel where everybody feels welcome and would like to return to. And listening to the feedback from our guests we have succeeded in every way.

Hotel Opera is located right in the middle of Copenhagen’s cultural centre which is underlined by the fact that Det Kongelige Teater (The Royal Theatre), which is the Danish national scene for opera, theatre and ballet, is our closets neighbour. Just a little further away on Kongens Nytorv (The King New Square) you will find Charlottenborg Kunstsamling – one of Copenhagen’s finest examples of a collection of modern art. If you choose to prolong your walk a couple of minutes you will end up at Kunstindustrimuseet with examples of Danish design and craftsmanship, and just a couple of blocks further down the road you find yourself facing the Queens Residence Amalienborg, which is regarded as an architectonical achievement in a class of its own.

Hotels in Copenhagen – in so many ways Copenhagen is a remarkable city, and that goes not least for the many shopping opportunities. From Hotel Opera you have to walk less than two minutes to get to the department store Magasin du Nord, and just next to it you find the beginning of Strøget, which is the main shopping street in Copenhagen. You should also make some deviations to the smaller streets crossing and running parallel with Strøget, where you will find a lot of exciting shops with a lot of them selling their own designs in clothes, jewellery and pottery.
